First lady Commission’s a forty seater computerized library facility in Moree

Rebecca Naa Okaikor Akufo Addo is a Ghanaian public figure, the first lady of Ghana and the leader and founder of the Rebecca Foundation.

The first lady, through her foundation has been doing a lot of developmental projects in the country especially for people in remote communities.

Her foundation recently constructed two libraries for the people of Daffiama Bussei Issah District in the Upper West Region and Wenchi in the Bono Region.

Madam Rebecca Akufo Addo is in the news again for the construction of a forty seater computerized library facility in Moree a town in the Central Region, through her foundation.

According to her, the library is stocked with modern computers and books on different subjects that would be of great benefit to school children within the town.

She again noted that the edifice would serve as an attractive and welcoming environment for the youth to develop the habit of reading and acquiring more knowledge.

She used the opportunity to pinpoint communities and people who are currently benefiting from her non – profitable organization.

“My foundation, the Rebecca Foundation, has so far built three of such computerized libraries in the Daffiama Bussei Issah in the Upper West Region, Sefwi – Debiso in the Western North Region, Wenchi in the Bono Region and will soon construct three more libraries at Kumawu in the Ashanti Region, Krachi East in the Oti Region and Achimota school in the Greater Accra Region” – she added.

The wife of the president and mother of all, used the opportunity to also thank all donors for their massive support and trust to see the foundation grow day in and out.

The commissioning of the computerized library was done last Tuesday August 18,2020 in Moree of the Central Region.
