Ghanaians would go to the polls this year on December 7, 2020 either to elect a new president to lead the country or to maintain the incumbent government in power, the New Patriotic Party (NPP) headed by his Excellency, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo.
During the administration of the NDC led by His Excellency John Mahama, Ghanaians alleged that he used the state funds to buy houses and cars for his alleged slay Queen’s, Belinda Akua Amoah popularly known in Showbiz as Mzbel and Tracy Boakye, due to their affiliations to the party.
Upon listening, reading and watching video’s of both Mzbel and Tracy Boakye, it suddens the hearts of the Ghanaian populace and are wondering if these attitudes would help build the better country that we are all yearning for.
As an Educationist and analyst, David Eduaful, after watching and further poundering over the videos trending on the social media with the caption “Papa Nu” ( meaning that man), which no one knows who it refers to.
Please my people, what are the aims of these videos trending on the internet? To discredit Mahama I guess. Is this politics? Seriously is this how we intend to play politics for the next 100 years in Ghana?
Sane politics have gone beyond this uncivilized, village political jargons! Am I a Mahama fanatic? No!.
I worked with Nana Akuffo Addo, Kwesi Pratt, Kweku Baako Jnr, Nana Wireku Brobey( AKA Tarzan) at the ALLIANCE FOR CHANGE(AFC) in 1995 against the injustice of the NDC government then headed by my beloved (but much maligned) JJ RAWLINGS.
So if I speak against the badmouthing of former president John Dramani Mahama, to the feeble minded, I should be a fan of Mahama, but no!.
I am an advocate of politics of issues, not personalities.
My main concern is what will take Ghana higher economically, educationally, infrastructurally, politically, financially, and every other sector of the nation’s economy.
The song in the those video’s is one of the ‘nkuraseistic ‘ songs I have seen in decades.
Please I beg of us, whoever wishes to post any politically sensitive material on this platform should think of Ghana first.
Political parties and governments will come and go but Ghana remains forever !.
Enough of the political schism! Let there be political civilization and sanity! Maturity is treating issues rather than personality assassination!
