According to the flagbearer of National Democratic Congress (NDC), John Mahama, when voted into power coming December 7, his administration would immediately disband the militia set up by President Akufo – Addo in the security service and re-open an inquiry into the Ayawaso West Wuogon vigilante incident.

“The NDC believes the continuous training, arming and indiscriminate deployment of New Patriotic Party (NPP) militia is dangerous and distasteful especially when such elements have been recruited into the security agencies” – he lamented.

Highlights from the 2020 NDC manifesto stated that the current state of lawlessness and impunity has damaged the reputation of the country and has the potential of compromising internal security and economic activity as well as scaring away vital foreign investments.

In view of this, John Mahama has asked Ghanaians to kick out the Akufo-Addo led government and give the NDC a chance to put things in place.
