Sevilla Pip Inter Milan To Win Europa League


The 2019/2020 Europa League season came to an end on Friday night as Sevilla had a 3-2 win over Serie A side Inter Milan in a thrilling final at the RhienEnergieSTADION in Cologne, Germany.

Inter’s Lukaku got his 35th goal of the season by scoring from a spot kick on the 5th minute.

A cross by Jesus Navas perfectly located Luuk de Jong in the 18-yard box of Inter Milan,who equalised with a sublime header on the 12th minute.

The Dutchman was on target again 21 minutes after scoring his first goal. Inter Milan responded  quickly  with Godin making it all -square.

Sevilla’s desire to win the competition became known when defender Diego Carlos tried an overhead kick on the 76th minute which resulted in a goal through deflection.

Antonio Conte introduced Victor Moses,Candreva, Christian Eriksen and Alexis Sanchez in the game with the hope of getting a positive outcome but it did not come to fruition as the Spanish club clinched their sixth Europa League title.

In an interview, Luuk de Jong placed on record that unity was the key to their triumph.

This game was also a memorable one  for club legend Ever Banega as he is heading to Saudi Arabian club Al-Shabab.
