The latest edition of the 21st Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMA) began yesterday August 20,2020 were about thirteen (13) different awards categories were given to deserving and hard working nominees.
The 2020 nominees jam was scheduled to take place at the Koforidua Jackson Park on April 4,2020 but due to the National Directives on Public Gathering with regards to novel Convid-19 pandemic, the event could not hold.
In view of this, the event had to be rescheduled by organisers that’s, CharterHouse productions.
For the first time in so many years,the event was held without the presence of too many attendees due to the ban on public gatherings by the president.
This year’s edition of the VGMA awards took a virtual form as audiences were given the chance to watch from the comfort of their homes on television stations, GHone, TV3 and Joy prime and social media handles on Facebook, YouTube and Instagram.
The event witnessed great performances from artistes like Strongman, Eno Barony, Kelvynboy, Kofi Mole, K. K Fosu among others.
The show is said to continue from today to tomorrow August 30,2020.

Record of the year – Okyeame Kwame
Female Vocalist of the year – Celestine Donkor
Male Vocalist Of the year – MOG Music
Instrumentalist Of the year – Emmanuel Bludo
Traditional artiste of the year – Tesa Cultural Group
Sound Engineer of the year – Dan Grahl
