When I promise I deliver – Nana Akufo Addo


Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo is the 5th president of the 4th republic of Ghana.

Nana Addo has been in office since January 7,2017, after defeating the flagbearer of the then incumbent government, John Dramani Mahama of the National Democratic Congress(NDC) with a huge margin.

During the launching of the New Patriotic Party(NPP) manifesto, Nana Addo made lots of promises to the Ghanaian populace.

From creating of jobs, providing of social amenities like hospitals, schools, market centres, constructing of roads, potable drinking water among others.

His topmost priority is making sure that all eligible Ghanaians of school going age get access to education, and to make this dream a reality, his government introduced the Free Senior High School(Free SHS) policy where school children at the senior high level do not pay anything in schools.

He indicated that through job creation, his government has created jobs for hundred thousand (100,000) graduates on a three (3) year contract.

Additionally, a trainee on the Nation Builder Corps(NABCO) system receives an amount of GH¢700 as a stipend.

Addo, the “Showboy” also made mention of the 1D 1F which also seeks to create employment for the youth.

In view of this, on Friday August 21,2020, his Excellency, Nana Addo commissioned the Ekumfi fruits factory.

He has also commissioned a Potato Processing Factory at Gomoa Bewadze under the 1D 1F policy.

Nana Addo is married to Mrs Rebecca Akufo Addo with 5 daughters.
